In this first ever Intelligence Squared debate from South America, the panel and audience in Santiago, Chile, debated the motion "The World Should Legalise Drugs".
Proposing the motion were former President of Chile Ricardo Lagos and eminent economist Klaus Schmidt-Hebbel.
Opposing the motion were former Head of the US Drug Enforcement Administration Judge Robert Bonner and renowned Brazilian Psychiatrist Dr Ronaldo Laranjeira.
The debate was chaired by BBC World News presenter Zeinab Badawi.
